Standard Die Set Highlights Printable PDF File
  • Standard Die Series - This is our original die series developed in 1984. It requires three 7/8" starter holes (1/2" conduit trade size) to be initially fabricated in the subject panel prior to its use. It can be pulled by any industry standard hydraulic "knock out" puller with a 3/4" draw stud. Insert the pull cylinder's stud through the die set/panel and retain with either a 3/4 - 16 flange nut or just a "punch" from a standard round die. Operate your hydraulic pump and in seconds you have a clean, burr free, industrial standard opening. The Standard Die Series is designed for use in up to 14 gauge mild steel panels. Occasional use with heavier and/or harder materials is permitted, but the life of the die will be reduced accordingly and component failure may occur. See our detailed "Care and Use" instructions for more information.

Dandy Die set

  • Dandy Die Series - The Dandy Die series of die sets were developed as the sizes of instrumentation began to shrink. Due to their smaller sizes a complete new method of pulling was developed. All Dandy Dies ship with a manual drive system for use with a wrench for 18 gauge and thinner steel or 14 gauge and thinner aluminum. For use with heavier materials, the Dandy Die series dies must be used with the Dandy Die Hydraulic Pull Cylinder, Model CYL100. (Die drawing components may fail if misused.) See our detailed "Care and Use" instructions for more information.

  • Super Dandy Die Series - This series of dies was recently developed to cover more of the specialty sizes becoming popular, in particular the Harting and Wieland multi-pole connectors. It must be used with our Super Dandy Draw Cylinder, Model CYL200 and requires two 7/8" starter holes (1/2" conduit trade size). Some models include pilot "template" holes as drill guides for the device mounting bolts. See our detailed "Care and Use" instructions for more information.
